First Term
School re-opens on Monday 3rd September 2007.
Mid-Term Break
The school will be closed from Monday 29th October to Friday 2nd November 2007 inclusive. School will re-open on Monday 5th November 2007.
Christmas Holidays
The school will close on Friday 21st December and will re-open on Monday 7thJanuary 2008.
Second Term
Mid-Term Break
The school will be closed on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th February 2008.
Easter Holidays
The school will close on Friday 14th March and will re-open on Monday 31st March 2008.
Third Term
Monday 5th May 2008 is a Bank Holiday – school will be closed.
Tuesday 6th May 2008 – School Holiday.
Wednesday 7th May 2008 – School Holiday.
Friday 30th May 2008 – School Holiday
Monday 2nd June 2008 – Bank Holiday
Summer Holidays
The school will close on Friday 27th June 2008 for the Summer Holidays.
Staff Meetings are planned for the following dates:
School will close at 1.30 p.m. on these dates.
There will be In-Service Training Days during the school year. School will be closed for the children on these days. Dates will be available later.
Application Forms for Junior Infants 2008
Please note that enrolment for Junior Infants 2008 will take place from Monday 5th to Friday 16th November 2007 . Application Forms will be available at the school during this two-week period.
Tea / Coffee on 3rd September 2007 in Hall for Parents of new pupils.
Extra Curricular Activities Calendar
ACTIVITIES COMMENCE WEEK BEGINNING 17 SEPTEMBER 2007 UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED.
MONDAY: Football / Gaelic 5 & 6 classes - 2.30 – 3.30 p.m.
TUESDAY: Basketball 3 & 4 Classes - 2.30 – 3.15 p.m.
Short Tennis Senior Infants – 2 Class - (€30 per term)
Enrolment at the school on Tuesday 25th September.
Classes start 2 October 2007.
Chess 2 – 6 Classes. Details to follow.
WEDNESDAY: Football 3 & 4 Classes - 2.30 p.m. – 3.30 p.m.
French 3 – 6 classes – 2.30 p.m. 3.15 p.m (€50 per 10 week course)
Irish Dancing All classes – 2.30 p.m. – 3.30 p.m. (€45 per 9 weeks) Starting 26 September.
THURSDAY: Speech & Drama Junior/Senior Infants 1.30 p.m. – 2.30 p.m.
All other classes 2.30 p.m. – 3.30 p.m. (€50 per 10 weeks) Starting 4 October.
Basketball 5 & 6 Classes - 2.30 p.m. – 3.30 p.m.
FRIDAY: Football 3 & 4 Classes - 2.30 p.m. – 3.30 p.m.
The children are very fortunate to have such a variety of after school activities on offer. I would encourage all children to participate in at least one of the activities. Further details regarding any of the activities are available in the school office.
Please note activities will not take place if the weather is wet. If you are in doubt about weather conditions, please check with the school office before dismissal time.
